The VANGUARD Hybrid 2.0 Omni Paddle provides a huge amount of surface area, and leverages Selkirk's best technology and materials to improve control and responsiveness. New features include a Pro-Spin texture and Gen2 Durable Surface which level-up ball control, and a quantum carbon fiber face that levels-out the hot and cold spots of a typical pickleball paddle. The Omni has a short handle for those who like to place a finger against the back of the paddle or just enjoy having a long face for maximum north-south surface area.

The VANGUARD 2.0 Omni Paddle can be ordered in a light 7.4 - 7.8 oz. weight range, or medium 7.9 - 8.4 oz. weight range. It utilizes Selkirk's X5 polymer core material, which has a 5/8" thickness to absorb energy and create more precise shots. The handle length is just 4-1/2", with a medium 4-1/4" circumference. The Geo Grip adds a pleasant amount of tack and includes moisture absorbing properties so your hand stays secure throughout play.

    I’ve been playing with Omni paddles for four years. I like the short handle long blade. I got a new omni vanguard last July. Found out it has been discontinued. So ordered this new one for later use.

    The Omni shape is the best for me. I'm currently using the Omni Vanguard 2.0 midweight. I have used two Omni amped paddles and the original Vanguard, the 2.0 version is the best yet.

    I found this paddle to have a larger sweet spot with good control and spin capabilities. I like a short grip, but not a big fan of this one as it's about a half inch to short, is squared off where it joins the paddle face instead of angled in, and it's squishy between the handle pieces. I like the square grip shape though. It isn't a loud paddle so you won't be scaring the crap out of opponents when smashing and it's not what I consider a powerful paddle. I bought the mid weight. It's great at absorbing hard shots with no vibrations. It has just a touch of head weight to it which is nice for placing over head shots any place I want. Really a nice all around paddle with a grip I would change out if I could.
