The GAMMA Havoc Lindsey Newman Signature Pickleball Paddle combines a soft touch with powerful responsiveness so players can more intuitively control their game. This paddle uses GAMMA’s NeuCore honeycomb, which is 25% thicker than typical cores to create a gentle feel that dampens shock. "I have been an avid Pickleball player for eleven years and have tried many, many paddles during this time. Since I began playing, the technology has improved immensely making play more fun, enabling players to develop better skills over time, and those who play competitively in tournaments have better equipment with which to play. Pickleball paddles vary depending on the materials used, the shape and size of the head, the weight, and the handle length and circumference. Being that some players are power players and others are more into control and dinking, their preferences for types of paddles might differ.This new Gamma Lindsey Newman Signature HAVOC paddle with NeuCore Technology is a wonderful paddle for those who want to really up their game. It has excellent control as well as being able to hit crisp powerful shots. I love its versatility! The handle is slightly longer than some other paddles which gives those who hit two-handed backhands more surface to hold onto. The HAVOC has a large sweet spot so that no matter where you hit the ball on the paddle, you get quite a bit of accuracy. "The Lindsey Newman Signature Havoc Pickleball Paddle is a lightweight paddle featuring NeuCore technology from GAMMA. The paddle is well balanced and is great for power shots without any loss of control. The GAMMA Honeycomb Cushion Grip provides a non-slip tacky surface which feels comfortable and adds to greater control. The design of the paddle allows for a large, reactive sweet spot. The handle length (5 1/4 inches) is great for reaching out for the wide balls and a definite plus for the two-handed player. The 3rd drop shot can be accomplished with more precision than with other paddles, and dinks seem to be easy to place with intuitive accuracy. Contacting the ball at the different areas of the transition zone made for more accurate shots to the opponent's weak side, due to the powerful fiberglass face. The speed on my volleys at the kitchen line also benefited from the face material, and made the punch shot more effective. Because the face is also textured, spin shots are both easy to make and defend against when your opponent throws you more spin than you're used to handling. Fantastic honeycomb grip which helps prevent the thumb callous that I was forming on my finger from my other paddle. Lots of power for baseline shots and great touch for finesse at the kitchen. It’s a keeper!

I’ve been playing pickleball for a little over a year now and have played with paddles from Paddletek, Onix, Selkirk, Prince, Vulcan, Gamma and Franklin. Enjoy playing with all, but as I grow in the sport I realize how important having both power and control is. Newman defense inspires me like no other so I knew I had to give signature paddles a try. From the first go immediately fell in love with how the Havoc played! Unbelievable control in digs and resets (which I expected) but also great power for kill shots! This paddle is so balanced and is the one paddle I don’t need to add lead tape to (again, amazing power!) Though I am not a 2-handed player, I love the longer thinner handle which makes this paddle easy to wield. The face is elongated which provides even more reach to wide balls I usually can’t get to. Love the thick core for the softness and “quietness” in resets and dinking, and that composite face gives so much put-away power! This is my weapon of choice!

Decided to try another new paddle. Took a bit to get used to the feel of the Havoc, but after about 20 minutes I was able to really see how well it plays. Love the touch and control. However this paddle suffers from the same issue as the Selkirk Vanguards of the chips and flecks in the surface, it's actually worse. Within 2 hours the paddle looked like my Vanguard (after a couple weeks of playing). It's an issue many paddle manufactures seem to be having these days.
